Keep in mind he is an Artist so don’t expect a story on the same level. Firstly, Obata’s other series, for equally awesome art. For those who would like something similar, there’s not much. Even if you don’t like aliens, action or gore, All You Need Is Kill has something to offer. A great, gory story with psychological and romance aspects. You will not find anything better than this. The action scenes look awesome, the mimics are worked out really well, and all the suits and weaponry look astonishing. Though it is probably hard to believe, All You need Is Kill is even darker than Death Note. Obata is able to vary his style, make it fun to look at like Bakuman, or dark as Death Note.
